Join the CSTA

We have three categories of membership, student, full and associate. For application forms, please apply to Susanne Wakefield our administrator, by telephone on 0844 700 2358 or by email at admin@craniosacral.co.uk.

We also offer members of the public the chance to be Friends of CSTA or to subscribe to The Fulcrum.

Students at any craniosacral school or college in the UK can join the Association for £20 a year and receive our magazine The Fulcrum.  They are also entitled to attend the AGM.

Full membership entitles graduates of one of our accredited colleges to use the letters RCST after their name. They are committed to continuing professional development and regular supervision during their first two years of practice and are encouraged to continue this practice afterwards. They are also required to hold current ‘Emergency First Aid in the Work-place’ certification. The present cost of membership is £135 a year but new graduates pay only £100. Members' names and addresses are listed on the CSTA website, they can vote at AGMs and they benefit from publicity material the Association generates, including leaflets.

Associate membership is for graduates of non-accredited colleges or from colleges abroad. It is seen as only short-term and we would expect associate members to become full members within two years. The cost is £120 for a year. The Registrar will establish that their training is appropriate and of a quality compatible with our own standards. Once the application is made, the trustees will appoint an assessor to interview the candidate and receive a treatment from them. The assessor’s report goes to the Accreditation Board and trustees for final approval. If the assessor recommends further training, the candidate will complete that before gaining full membership.  Our Guide to Associate Membership of CSTA provides further information.

If you have any queries, please contact the Registrar, Sam Hyder, by email at registrar@craniosacral.co.uk.
