The Anglian School of Craniosacral Therapy (tel: 01263 825149) is provisionally accredited. Graduates of this training may apply for associate membership of the Association and there is then a process for upgrading to full membership. Provisional accreditation means that the college is applying for full accreditation and in due course will be assessed. If this is successful then the ASCT qualification will be accepted by the Association.
Body Intelligence (contact Steve Lane, tel: 07731 549836) is provisionally accredited.
The Accreditation Process
As an Association, the CSTA is proud of its accreditation process. We see this as a way of maintaining standards in the profession and letting the public have a benchmark they can rely on for therapists they can trust in craniosacral therapy. The Accreditation Board encourages innovation and the sharing of good practice in the teaching of craniosacral courses.
At present, the guidelines are being revised and rewritten. The colleges the association accredits all receive site inspections and their procedures and teaching curricula are all assessed by the Accreditation Board, which has been set up by Council and is answerable to it.
The Accreditation Board has as its members both practising craniosacral therapists and lay people with particular skills in education and training
